More mobile phones than people

According to a recent report, Brazil has already passed the point of 100% mobile phone penetration. According to the report, there are 100.44 mobile phone lines for every 100 people.

While this obviously does not tell the whole story and it does not mean that every person in Brazil has a mobile phone, these reports are significant indicators of the rise of mobile phone technology. It is safe to say that, with few exceptions, everyone in Brazil either has a mobile phone or has access to one.

What is especially significant about reports like these is that analysts are predicting 100% mobile phone penetration worldwide within a few years. Given the growth of Internet connectivity worldwide and the reality that most phones in the next few years will have Internet capability, the last remaining need is for unrestricted discipleship resources that can be translated into any language, used in any media format, to meet any discipleship need, by anyone, anywhere.
