The future of the global church is Open

All over the world, new followers of Jesus Christ need discipleship resources to help them grow in spiritual maturity. The global rise of Internet and mobile phone technology is the greatest opportunity for the advance of the Gospel ever, but making the most of it requires a new generation of unrestricted discipleship resources — free of charge, and released under an open license. Welcome to World Missions 2.0!

Global media resources and youth culture

I totally agree but for me I think one of the target audience is the under 35's. They are one's who learn differently, think differently and want to express their faith differently. The way they interact, pull apart, re-design and use information and material is different and resources freely available through the web and the mobile will help reach this age group in ways appropriate to them.

Right on

Good observations, Sean. The way the under 35's and the "global youth culture" approach life is already altering many aspects of how world missions is undertaken. The "way we've always done it" is changing, and in many ways, it's for the better. We are excited to see how the geographically distributed creation and translation of a core set of unrestricted discipleship resources in many (and eventually "every") language will help accelerate the completion of the Great Commission.
